Born in Huntington Beach, California, Deven broke out as Rachael Shore across 17 episodes of the award-winning series Day Zero, a role that earned her a Best Actress nomination at the Filmed In Utah Awards. The director of Proper Manors was impressed enough to offer her a role in the show’s third season. Her first feature, Muddy Corman, put her opposite Kevin Corrigan and brought a second Best Actress nomination at FilmQuest.

Deven studies the Sanford Meisner technique under Larry Silverberg, a direct student of Meisner, and has workshopped with Richard Hatch, Glenn Morshower and casting directors Catherine Stroud and Alex Newman.
